Do you have a Nobska Moment?
Have you captured it looking wonderful? Dramatic? As the backdrop for a life event?
Do you love Nobska and want to help restore it?
The Friends of Nobska Light, who are now responsible for the care of the lighthouse and the keepers house, are calling for photographs for an art show this summer called “Nobska Moments”.
The show will have two categories: category one—personal moments with images of friends and family visiting Nobska and category two—Nobska landscape and beauty.
Photographs will be displayed at the Nobska Light Keepers house and in public locations around Falmouth during the summer. All viewers will have an opportunity to select their favorite photo in category one with the winner announced at the end of the art show.
Category two photographs, the Nobska landscape and beauty photos, will enter an online auction to support the ongoing restoration and preservation efforts at Nobska Light Station.
Both categories are open to any photographer, professional and amateur. All styles of photography will be accepted: color, black and white, processed in any manner.
Submitted photographs must be printed and matted with an exterior dimension (including matt) of not more than 11” x 14”.
Category one entries will be available for return to the photographer upon request at completion of the art show.
Entry deadline for both categories is April 30, 2018. Submissions are accepted by mail or in person. Mail to: PO Box 183, Falmouth 02541. Drop off in person: on Fridays at The Gallery on Main, 317 Main Street or Nobska Light keeper’s house by arrangement via email@example.com.
